And the wind did blow!!

Last night was a scary night here in the land of Oz. This time of year we are supposed to be having snow, but last night we had thunder, lightening and strong wind. We were very fortunate that we did not have the tornado that hit Harveyville off to our west and that hit Branson, Missouri!!

It did make our satellite TV go off the air for sometime, satellite TV in KS is just plain sad!! Snow, heavy rain, wind, etc. and the TV is "searching for satellite!" Thanks to my wonderful hubby, we have a digital antenna that we can pick up TV channels from the KC and Topeka area when the weather is bad.

As hard as the wind was blowing last night, I had a funny feeling that our trampoline was going to move. This morning the first thing I did was look out the window and sure enough, the trampoline was over a foot closer to our house and it was part way off it's base. Daddy and Bubby were out fixing it at 3:45pm and by 4:15pm the girls were out bouncing on it.

We will be keeping the folks in Harveyville and Branson in our thoughts and prayers.
BTW...that is not a grave to the left of the trampoline!! It is our septic tank!! Bwahaha!! Someone emailed me and asked if we had a burial plot in our backyard!!

Dog days...it's not over til the fat dog sings!!

Daddy has been coughing and hacking all day. Finally a dose of Delsym helped stop the cough, but not take away the over all rotten feeling. He stayed in bed much of the afternoon.

As I stayed in bed most of yesterday, plus slept the last couple of nights sitting up in my recliner to keep from coughing so much. Today was my day to get a few things done. Had some paperwork to run around and get done. Then I had to hit WalMart and the grocery store. Fortunately, the doctor phoned in a prescription of antibiotics for me!! As I work the next three days I will need the antibiotics to help me get over this rotten sore throat and cough.

I decided to sleep in my recliner again tonight. About 2AM Tessa comes up the stairs crying that her leg hurt. I gave her two Ibuprofen to chew and some juice to wash them down. She is now sleeping on the love seat. Less than 30 minutes later Kendalan came up the stairs telling me that her leg hurt too! More Ibuprofen and juice and off to bed with Daddy for her! Now I am wide awake and thinking that 5AM is going to come around very early!! I think my voice will possibly be gone today. Just hope that my patients can hear me. I will probably wear a mask in their rooms so I don't pass this on to them.

Calgon....take me away!! And this is how the "fat" dog sings!

Things at our house......

I have been a very bad blogger :( It seems to be that time of year where we are busy, but not doing anything that is exciting enough to blog about. Since Kendalan threw up after her Mini cheer camp, the crud has passed through several of us....Mom and Dad included. Now Mom and Dad are sharing a head-banging, throat-ripping, coughing good time called the super crud! Fortunately the girls seem immune to it!

The girls have been wanting snow this winter and we did get one day that they could break out their new sled. However, it did not last long and they are once again wishing for snow. We are getting excited about our spring break trip to Branson. We are excited to see Lucy and her family and just plain old get out of town!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I had to work today, so I stayed up late last night making sure that my sweethearts were surprised on Valentine's Day.

I don't have a photo of their faces, but they really enjoyed what they found hanging on our mantel this morning!!

Happy Valentine's Day!
XOXO!!

Life is a Highway......

And I wanna ride it all night long!! If your going my way, I wanna drive it all night long!!

Momma's got a new set of wheels!

Going to break it in on a road trip to Branson in March!

The girls are excited...it has a bigger screen TV. Mom and Dad are excited...it holds more, has less miles and is two years younger than our last Mommy cruiser.
