It just can't be possible. Time for the Kansas State Fair! My parents always took me to the fair. When I got older, I was allowed to ask one friend to come along so I wasn't so bored walking around the livestock, new machinery, etc. I loved playing the games on the midway! Yes, now that I am older and much wiser, I know that most of these are rigged. But back when I was a kid you couldn't tell me that. They were games of skill which it seemed I just didn't have much skill!!

Our main reason for going to the fair was to see Victoria Justice and Max Schneider in concert. It was the first concert our kids have been too and one I thought that they would really enjoy as they watch Torie Vega on TV all the time. Most of them were kind of excited. And then there was our oldest....RaeAnne. She never wavered in the fact that she did not want to miss school and wanted to stay home...even if that meant alone. For RaeAnne that is a big accomplishment. The girl who would scream and run through the house looking for Mom if I left the living room while she was watching TV and didn't tell her where I was going. The girl who still wants a light on in her room at night. The girl who just recently has decided she wants to sleep alone....even though with our brood...it ain't happening!!

We finally relented to letting RaeAnne stay home. (I think she was actually sorry that she didn't go especially since we didn't get home until about 1:30AM. And then she had us locked out of the house. Good thing she had her cell phone close!
We met up with our friend's the Thornton's and their two girls when we first arrived. OMG how Emily and Jenna have grown!! They are both eager to ride the rides just like most of our girls.
They were having a wrist band special. $25.00 and you can ride all the rides you want from 1 to 11pm!! The girls were literally running from ride to ride!!
Soon it was time to go to the concert. My girls were kind of in shock. They had no idea what a concert like this was about. It didn't help that it had cooled down from the upper 80's to the 50's with a brisk north wind. It took us Mom's some talking to get our girls to start singing along or stand up and dance. And of course, they thought we were crazy to sing and dance along!! Over all the concert wasn't too bad, Max outdid Victoria, but that was us Mom's opinion.
Then we were back out to ride more rides until 11 pm. Then time for the long ride home.
