A walk on the "wild" side!

Kendalan asked me for a piece of paper Friday night.   Said she wanted to make a mustache.   I watched her draw it and then I left the table.   Imagine my surprise when she came up to me a little later looking like this!

The nice thing, we did not have to use a razor to take them off!   I love the face with or without a stache and a beard.   I hope she remains hairless in high school.  It could be embarrassing!!

Spirit week at school.

Kendalan and Tessa have been having a blast doing spirit week at school.   Homecoming is this Friday.   The most fun day after pajama's day on Monday was Mismatched day.   The girls came up with their own outfits.  And I think they were pretty cute.   Of course, I may be a bit biased :)

Green or not green...that is the question.

I bought this patio set many many years ago.   It was a steal and we have really gotten our money's worth.   It is starting to show it's age and I need to take a steel brush to the underside and do some hard scraping.   Then I need to spray it with Krylon.   Should I go with green again?   Or maybe a light color.   The chairs are in better shape than the table but I want it all to match.   The umbrella is brown/black and whites.

95% done and questions for you readers!

Yes!  The deck is almost complete!   We are so excited and can't wait!   Yes!  Lot's of exclamation marks!!!   Check it out for yourselves!    They are going to put one more coat of sealer on it and then I can move my tiny little table and 4 chairs back on.    They are green...what are your thoughts ladies who still read my blog.   Should I paint them green again...I will post photos later in a different post.   Or should I find a different color?   I am going to be putting wooden rockers in different colors, much to my husbands chagrin.   And a few Adirondack chairs probably in white cause I like them in white...I think.

Please help!   My husband is really wanting to have the furniture all in wood colors.   I think we need color.  I can see his point but color just brightens life and believe me I need some brightening.   This last go round with chemotherapy is doing me in.  

Happy Birthday Jordis Li Meng!!

She was pretty sure that this day would never come.    However, it did and then she was mad because her sisters woke her up at noon screaming at her.   Yes, I don't know why they were screaming.  They said they were going to go sing Happy Birthday to her!!   Go figure and I am still trying too!

Of course she has been asking us for weeks what she was getting for her birthday.   And she was giving us no hints of what she wanted other than "Please no clothes!"   Her Dad and I finally decided what we thought would be a great gift.   And we wanted her to pick her own.

So the choice for eating tonight was easy.   She wanted "Texas Roadhouse".   It was nice we walk in and was seated immediately!   The girls love the hot rolls and peanuts.  Of course, they are always full by the time the food arrives at our table.

We girls were getting a little giddy by the time the food arrived :)

So after eating we decided to check out Dick's sporting goods store.   Jordis was 20 questions wanting to know what was she getting.   It still didn't soak in by the time we were walking through the bicycles. So I told her, "Jordis, we thought you might like a new bike."  She didn't get all that excited.   She says, "But I can still ride Zora's."

Okay so what else would you like for your birthday?   She finally decided that she wanted a new DS.   So off to Best Buy we headed.   She is now the proud owner of a blue DSXL.   One just never knows!!
