That stands for: "Families Blessed with the World's Children." Any family that has adopted a child would fit into that title. We have definitely been blessed, five times...okay SIX times over!! (I always need to add Big Bro in there as he was also adopted!)
We joined the Kansas City area FBWC group this evening to celebrate Chinese New Year. They sure know how to party over in the KC area!! The girls were in craft heaven! Jordis wanted her face painted so she skipped the crafts and headed straight there. Nick went with us and was the first to hit the buffet line.
I was honored to meet up with Pam who I have exchanged email with for many years now and had never had the chance to meet her in person! Her kids are so cute! We also met up with our friends, Sophie, Gary, Zia, Trish, Dave, JoLee, Alayna, Trisha and LiLi. It is so sad that we only get to see these folks for special occasions only :( We need to see them more often!!
Meanwhile, Jordis was very patient and finally had a panda painted on her face. By that time she also had her photo taken with a Chinese Princess. Then our tummies were rumbling so we headed for the food. Which was very good! After we ate the programs started. The kids were cute when they sang kids songs in Chinese. Then they had a RAD teen who put on a spectacular performance with the Chinese Yo-Yo!! It gave me shivers watching him!! Then it was time for the dragon dance and we topped it off by popping bubble wrap for the fireworks.

All too soon it was time to head home. The girls just all headed to bed...now it's time for Mom to catch up on the Tivo'd Bachelor :) Oh....this is what Tessa's hair looks like after being up in buns. She really liked it!!

That looks like SUCH fun! Brock is taking our kids to a local Chinese New Year celebration this weekend, but I'll miss it due to a Scholastic Bowl tournament.
ADORABLE girlies!!
Wow, you are blessed, friend!
So glad you all could come! Maybe there will come a time when I am not running around like a chicken with my head cut off and we can visit!
