The remodel is finally underway

Okay, better late than never. The plan was to change the decor in the bedrooms once we moved in. Out with the rough/tough boy digs and bring in the pink/purple fluffy stuff girls need in their rooms. The girls divided themselves up when we first moved in. Two girls to a bedroom. Jordis and RaeAnne to share, ZoraLin and Kendalan to share. That only lasted a few weeks. Musical beds has been the ongoing nightly dance that Mom and Dad are getting tired of! Right now, all four girls are in one bedroom. We have a queen bed and a full bed on the floor in one room. Put together like one supersized bed. You would think that this is a wonderful solution. NOT! Now the battle is the three older girls all want to sleep in the same bed, thus leaving Kendalan in a bed by herself. Granted, she is still in the same room with them, but the whine flows and flows.

The new and final solution is in the works. We are going to get two sets of bunk beds and then they will all be in one room, in their own bed!

I had to start by stripping the motorcycle border off the walls. The girls were my clean up crew. After all the paper was off, RaeAnne and Jordis picked it all up and out it went. I then painted the top half of the room pink. Next, the bottom half will be purple and then we have Fairy Friends border to put up. Each girl has their own special sheets for their twin bed and I have purchased reversable pink/purple quilts for the beds. I think it will be cozy!

Here are some of the changes made so far. The girls have been excited to help. Of course, they also want to help paint.....I will have to think about that one for a while.
